Taylor Lautner: Victim of People Magazine Cover Hoax!
If you’ve seen the latest “cover” of People magazine featuring Taylor Launter, you were probably like many women across the country and were left heartbroken. Well, turns out it was nothing but a big, fat hoax, accoring to E! Online.
A fake cover of the mag hit the web yesterday and ran a story that the Twilight hunk was “out and proud” about his sexuality. It even went as far as to say he was “tired of the rumors” and was “more liberated and happier than ever.” The photo looked so real that it even fooled some celebs, like Russell Simmons for example.
Simmons tweeted and said he was "proud of Taylor Lautner for his bravery and his courage." Once he learned about the hoax, he tweeted, "disappointed that people would joke about someone coming out about their sexuality. Let Taylor Lautner be whoever he wants to be..."
We’re gonna side with Russell on this one. It’s one thing if Taylor was gay and wanted to be open about it. Yes, we admit that we’d be completely heartbroken, but it’s completely wrong to joke about it like that. No word from Launter on the cover but in due time, you KNOW he’ll comment.
